    Ok, so I can’t spell Wende … Wedens … today’s name…

    Cold coffee is an abomination.

I’m with Kathryn - cold coffee is unthinkable, unbearable and an injustice.

Actually herbal tea is the only thing on this list that I can actually stomach.

As I don’t drink Coke, beer or tea, it would have to be cold coffee without question. Especially when it’s developed that disgusting scum on top….eugh!

  • Pete // Nov 14, 2007 at 3:41 pm

Interesting; I’m a cold coffee pre-scum fan myself. My pet hate here would be flat coke; it makes my teeth squeak. I can’t abide any form of beer so I don’t care whether or not it’s warm …

When I can drink beer - warm beer is the worst thing in the world.

Cold coffee is never fun - particularly cold coffee the next morning with soy milk in it (the guy next to me drinks coffee like that) - ew.

SO - Now… flat coke zero is the end of the world.

I happen to love “good” beer. Depending on the type of beer, some beer is ment to be drank warm and is good if drank that way.

Coffee is good “iced” so I would have to vote no on that one as well.

I like herbal teas on winter nights, so again, a vote of no.

Flat coke…can give that one a positive. So my vote is for flat coke

  • jonathan // Nov 16, 2007 at 1:17 am

err…. the flat coke was supposed to read “CAN’T give that one a positive”

  • jonathan // Nov 16, 2007 at 1:19 am

*hanging head in shame* last apology, I can’t type today. I really do know how to spell words such as “meant”. Please forgive me, it has been a long week.

And you’re a teacher, jonathan? ( I mean Jonathan!) … No worries, I think blogs and their comments are meant to contain spelling errors.

Good to hear from you, bro! Agree on the coke.

I’m not a beer enthusiast, but in Australia I believe warm beer is an oxymoron.

  • MadCow // Nov 16, 2007 at 9:52 am

    Definitely cold coffee for mine.

Cold coffee is very very different from iced coffee, therefore not only is it an abomination, but it is sneaky and underhand.

It pretends to be a nice hot coffee and then pretends to be a nice iced coffee - but it is neither. Evil, I tell you, Evil!!

Just an interesting little read on “warm beer”

Ah, I see you are indeed a great teacher!

This is actually quite interesting (sorry to sounds surprised Jonathan!). In fact, in the 18th and 19th centuries, given there were no Starbucks or McDonalds around, I’d have probably enjoyed a warm ale/cidermead…

    …but not now. ;)

I’ll suck down 8-hr old coffee anytime, yet flat Coke ticks me off.

  • Pete // Nov 18, 2007 at 7:17 am

8 hour old? That’s stretching it, surely. I’d like to see video evidence of that claim, Bad Dad.

    :)

This is how pathetic a coffee addict I am…
I set the coffee maker to brew at 6:30am.
Fill my ginormous travel mug at 7am.
Start drinking it around 8am (but not finishing it).
Around 9am I start having the first of several cups of office sludge.
Around 2pm I’ll start sipping at the home-brewed coffee again until done.
So yes, I do drink coffee thats at least 7 hours old on a near daily basis.

Oh, I do have one of those personal coffee makers in my office. But I’m too lazy most of the time to make a pod and deal with the clean up.

  • Pete // Nov 18, 2007 at 3:49 pm

Sad. Very very sad. Coffee that old can’t be good for you…

  • Bad Dad // Nov 18, 2007 at 11:15 pm

I like to think of it as “aged” … like a fine wine or scotch.

  • Pete // Nov 19, 2007 at 7:17 am

    lol!

  • MadCow // Nov 19, 2007 at 11:28 am

    Euwwwwww!

  • BillH // Nov 20, 2007 at 3:17 pm

The absolute worst is cold coffee. I’ll drink the rest, but I don’t like to drink coffee at all: cold, hot or in between.
