Well, well, I just received a phone call from the Casting Agency. They request the presence of the Boy and moi at a further audition tomorrow. After yesterday’s episode this is verrry interesting.
My dreams of screen glory are one step closer.
As is the likelihood of Jonathan’s competition to suggest screen names for Pete and Youngest Son.
Wish us a broken leg…

Yes, indeed, one step closer. But may I suggest…leave your wallet at home.

Break a leg, Pete and Youngest Son or should I say…Leto and Paul Atreidis?

Thanks Jonathan. Or should I say Stilgar?

And Joe, yes. Yes I will. Very good advice indeed. Thank you.

Your welcome. I think I wouldn’t mind Duncan Idaho as a stage name.
He is probably the coolest of the Dune characters.

He is, but doesn’t he die tragically? Been a long while since I read that.
Hey just got back from the audition. Another story for another time (why waste good posting material in a comment!) but it’s looking pretty good so far.

If you call killing 19 Sardukar in combat tragic (A sadukar is supposed to be the equivilant to 12 soldiers), then yes he died tragically. But, he was cloned over and over. He is the only character to be in every one of Frank Herbert’s Dune novels.
Just goes to show, you can’t keep a good man down.

This is completely off the subject. I came across a wonderful post today. It is a letter from a father to a son that I wanted to share.

Very exciting! So lucky for me our interviewed happened before you join the rich and famous. It’s going to be worth a lot!

Jonathan: First off that is one moving letter. I’ve written stuff in my personal journals that I kind of hope my boys will read one day. But maybe I should actually take a leaf out of his book and put a couple of letters away for them. Good link mate!
Second: Sidetracks ahoy! I got bogged down in the 3rd Dune novel. Although I love Herbert’s prose it’s a little too Tolkienesque in it’s slow pace and a little too involved in it’s intrigues and subplots. I was vaguely aware that Idaho came back as a “ghola” somwehere - I thought he was reanimated - but in every book???? Actually that’s kinda cool.
Katy Lee! lol! You can say “I knew Pete Aldin before he played that drunken irresponsible father on that Australian commercial!”
(See my next post). Thanks for visiting!
