Damn! Another phone call, more bad news. Now the agency tells me I didn’t get the role they told me I did get on Wednesday.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
At least Youngest Son and I bombed together!
But I really woulda liked that money…

On the positive side, it will probably be easier for young Mr. Frodo to accept not getting the part now that you didn’t either.
Sorry, it didn’t work out. I was counting on the extra income my e-bay forgeries were going to bring in.
Give me time. My autograph WILL be worth something some day.
And the extra money I was banking on from our podcast
So sorry for the disappointment!
lol. Thanks Katy.
Oh NO! I hate it when that happens.
Um, coz I’ve been in that position a million times! I wish - hahahahahaha
Just think of all those years you could have had something over young son!
Next time
Awww, that sux. Just how exactly do you get a role and then not get it? I don’t get it…
@ Mich: What they said to me on the Wednesday was “You didn’t get the main role but you did get a featured extra role. They’ll need you for these 2 dates … Can you do them? … Ok, then it’s worth $X and the production company will be in touch with you shortly to go through the details. Congrats.”
Then on the Friday, it was “Just informing you that you didn’t get the role.” “Oh, ok,” says me, “but 2 days ago you said I did. What happened?” Oh, no,”says them, “We were just ringing to see if you had those dates free.”
?
So basically, they ring everyone on tthe short list, make sure they keep the days free while they’re still deliberating on who they want then dump the excess. Pretty shoddy business practise, says me, but that may just be sour grapes.
How rude. Will have to ask another actor friend to find out if that is common practice!
That’d be interesting, thanks.
