Yes it’s back! The last one of these Wednesday’s What’s Worses was way back in December!!
It must be time for another one…
So, what’s worse?
Getting a song stuck in your head when it’s a song you don’t really like
or
When you have two lanes, a car in each both doing the exact same speed and you can’t pass
Tough choice I know.

People driving at the same, slower speed. It drives me nuts. If I have a tune in my head thats annoying, I hum or sing it. It becomes infectious and others later “thank” me for sharing the awfullness that is Rick Ashley…”never gonna give you up…never gonna let you down…” You’ll thank me later.

Er. Yeah. Thanks Bry. [sheesh! Rick Astley. There's a voice I never wanted to hear again].
I’m with you on the non-speedy drivers. The song in the head I can do something about; but the drivers are out of my control.

NUMBER 1. Surely it has to be number 1? If they’re doing the same speed, they’re almost certainly going about the speed limit and you probably shouldn’t be over taking them. Chill out, put the radio on and you will get there.
Whereas the song - round and round and round and round it goes.

The longer you’re in the car listening to music the more likely you are to come across an anoying song that gets stuck in your head.

How about… Being stuck between two nitwits while having a crummy song stuck in your head.

@ Kathryn: as long as you don’t turn on said radio and listen to one of those songs that get’s stuck in your head …
@ jonathan/bryan: i actually want to change my vote above after I did hear an Offspring song in the car yesterday and was woken up by it playing on a loop all night in my head. Hate it! HATE IT!!!!
@ Roland: thankfully that has yet to happen to me.

Roland, I was thinking the same thing …
Pete, what if its a kid in the back signing the same song over and over, so not only do you have it stuck in your head, you can’t reach back and shove a pair of socks in his mouth (usually because I can only find half a pair of sand filled filthy socks in the car) or get him out of your head.
And then .. you get stuck behind these two drivers doing the same speed - which is, over course 10kmph under the speed limit and one the other kid is repeating “I’m hungry”, in sync with the stupid song that the other kid won’t stop and you can now not get out of your head ….
Sorry … off on a tangent there.
Hard choice, can’t decide …

… I think we have a winner! Unless anyone can top that?

There’s a moment in the new Get Smart film where Max is being dragged along by a plane hanging on to the banner out the back and he is in some traffic. Mom is driving and on the phone, and the kid in the back sees Max and goes:
“Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom!”
Mom pauses her conversation and goes:
“Kevin! Kevin! Kevin! Kevin! Kevin! Kevin! See how annoying that is?”
…and goes straight back to her conversation without looking out the window. I thought it was a wonderful moment.
I’m with MadCow - if the kids are singing an annoying song when you’re driving, you’re screwed.
@Bryan - Seeing as you’re a big Rick Astley fan, search YouTube for “Flash Mob Rick Astley” and be ready for joy - recently a flash mob in the UK organised to appear and sing ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ in public, and hundreds turned out. Some people…

Only way to make madcow’s trip worse… all is as before, but she just picked up Jim Carey from Starbucks because he’s had one too many espresso’s.

Ah, thanks Jonathan and Pete - I can feel the love.
Its … almost like being with my own family (lies on floor in foetal position and sobs uncontrollably)
Hey, Pete! What do I win?????
So long as its not a b***** Veronica’s CD I’m happy! Ever heard a 5 year old boy sing the same 6 words of the same Veronica’s song for an extended car trip every day for the school holidays when you have no socks handy?
Mmm, what joy!
Molk - I do that with my kids all the time. Geez, they have no sense of humour sometimes!

No, I haven’t Madcow, but I did have school kids doing shrill and inane whistles at the other end of the train carriage today.
I contemplated murder after a while.
