Mm. Chocolate.

Going out for dessert is a great way to keep the relationship with your kids alive and (sorry, I have to make a Dad joke) sweet.
Bonding by chocolate. Is there anything finer for father and son to bond over than an obscenely rich chocolate dessert using 3 kinds of chocolate?
And yes, the bigger of the two boys had a very messy faceĀ and hands afterwards.

I made crispy rice treats for the family on Sunday. Used generic Rice Crispies and Marshmallows (tough economic times call for ingredients without trademarks.)
Mmmmm…. chcoolate.
You’re such a great dad, sharing and everything. I’m usually fending mine off with sticks
MC, I made sure I had enough to spare.
RR, and I bet they tasted just as good. You’re making me hungry!
Anyone want to comment on the hypocrisy of me following up a post on healthy eating habits for kids with this one?
Nah!
Eatiing stuff like that, IMO is all party of an overall healthy eating plan – health isn’t just about your fat bum you know
What you say about my bum?
Indeed. I figure if I eat an apple and then a chocolate bar, that’s the definition of a balanced diet.
My fat bum, I meant MY fat bum! You’ve got a very nice bum.
Um, I heard!
So long as the apple and choclate weigh the same and you have one in each hand, you should be right
(Oh, and regardless of the amount – I’m still fending my kids off with sticks. I don’t like sharing *pout*
)
It’s amazing how much power chocolate has. I read the title and I started salivating. Besides the fact that Pete is hoping his stock in chocolate will rise after teasing us with thoughts of cocoa goodness, I like that this post was followed by a rant on junk food. Part of a healthy lifestyle is having fun and enjoying the time we spend with people we love.
So I won’t call you a hypocrite for posting this, not until I’ve finished eating my candy bar anyways.
lol X 2!
